December Tournament results!

KillerRaptors! Our December event was very exciting as it was our first battling event. Previously we have done a trivia event right when the alliances became an thing and then we had a DNA donation event. Now we got an action packed tournament!

The rules were to create a team using only rare creatures and no other rarities. Even with this restriction, there is still a pretty big pool of dinos available, 41 in total!
The participants were to freely challenge other participants and after 3 wins from different opponents were obtained, the right to challenge me, the leader and final boss battle awaited. Lose and you must start all over.
This however concluded really quickly because the brave and fearless challenger, Michelle kept winning all her battles with no one being able to stop her. Thus we got a winner and here is her team.

This well-rounded team features 3 dinos with swap-in abilities which were very much the all stars here.
Kaprosuchus picked off many opponents out of nowhere, even those with shields up.
Giraffatitan switched in and spelled checkmate for enemy raptors while also punishing anything that dared to switch in only to get rampaged hard.
There are some tanks in the team but not really any fast dinosaurs here like the Utahraptor.  Ankylocodon could take so many hits from Pounce dinos and not even sweat it and have exellent teamwork with Dracorex finishing things off before too much damage could build up.
Postosuchus and Purrolyth are some of the first turn hardest hitting dinos in the entire game even when considering legendaries and uniques. It was a smart move to bring both of these hidden gems. Purrolyth fits many roles. It can trap opposing tanks and bypass their armor or you could throw out Purrolyth and essentially use its counter attack as a swap in strike to punish fast dinos who are just going to use their basic strike to finish off your low HP dino.
This team has so many moves it can make with just switching! But the attacks have everything you need as well. Dracorex has the only priority damage move from this rarity tier. Suchotator is a must have with the wounding affliction.

The only dinosaur I could recommend added to this team is Delta to abuse the swap-in abilities and counter attack after using Impact and Run for even more damage shoved into one turn but everything on this team is so good it would be hard to find a spot!

During the final match the Giraffatitan faced off against my own but with her Kaprosuchus's trickery I lost a good dino. After that I tried to cheese out a win by evading everything but that Purrolyth was a tough one and took me out!
While doing this match, several people were still doing their matches and enjoying themselves. I decided to keep going and allow for someone else to complete their run.

Lauren rose to the challenge. I had seen her Koolasuchus be really annoying in a previous battle lowering dino's stats and piling on the damage. I knew that one would be a problem for me but it didn't come up on her team. I believe I faced off against Trex Utahraptor Giraffatitan and Suchotator.
My Eniasuchus destroyed the Trex in one hit. After this it was a furious attack from the Utahraptor constantly disabling my team and it was too much to handle! I had to use my frail but Immune Ornithomimus. My dino was the faster one but not dealing as much damage. In the end it came down to a coin flip if I could dodge the attack with my Evasive Strike. I did not ! I lost!
